Hoërskool Linden’s annual tournament for Under-16s is again taking place this year on Friday, 30 March, Saturday, 31 March and Monday, 2 April.

The tournament started in 2006 and each year a host of teams from schools in Gauteng take part. The participating schools this year are: Linden, Driehoek, Maragon, a private school founded in 2000 on the Wrest Rand, Garsfontein, Lions, Northcliff, Randburg, Roodepoort, Noordheuwel, St John's, Helpmekaar, Jeppe, Leeuwenhof, St Stithians.

Linden’s first team will also play Northcliff and their Under-15s will play Marais Viljoen’s Under-15s on the Saturday. Linden’s Under-14s will play Marais Viljoen’s Under-14s on the Monday.

Over and above the high school teams, two local primary schools, Unika and Louw Geldenhuys, will play against each other on Friday.

This is a particularly exciting year for Hoërskool Linden, as they have moved up from the medium schools to the large schools division in the Beeld trophy. This was done although they still qualify to play in the medium schools division, having fewer than 350 boys.
