Glasgow stand-off Ruaridh Jackson has been added to Scotland's Six Nations squad for Sunday's clash with France after his return from injury.
Jackson was left out the pool for the opening defeats against England and Wales after suffering a hamstring injury in early January.
But he has played in Glasgow's last two games, against Scarlets and Connacht, and has put himself into the thoughts of head coach Andy Robinson, who saw fly-half Dan Parks retire from international rugby after the Calcutta Cup defeat.
Winger Max Evans and lock Jim Hamilton were unable to train when the squad gathered at Murrayfield today ahead of Sunday's visit of France.
Evans is continuing his rehabilitation after suffering an ankle injury against Wales, while Hamilton has a throat infection.
Sale forward Richie Vernon (ankle) and Gloucester's Scott Lawson (dead leg) are receiving treatment after picking up injuries on club duty at the weekend, but Glasgow prop Ed Kalman resumed training today after recovering from the neck injury he suffered on his international debut in Cardiff. Robinson will name his team on Wednesday.
